The Mustang got off to a rousing start with it's '64½ introduction, so Ford was not about to mess with a good thing for 1965, keeping revisions very minor. The biggest change of note was the replacing of the 170 cid. engine with a new 200 cid. version of the base six-cylinder engine. Mustang enthusiasts enjoyed the open-air driving experience to the tune of more than 73,000 convertibles sold.
Look for 60s Sizzle R6 to hit retail stores in mid September.
