Casting #908
11/14/2006 10:27:00 AM
So I'm walking past Mac's desk the other day and I notice an image on his screen of this crazy car that looks like someone took a DeLorean and a Lincoln Town Car and squished them together. I love the angular cars of the '80s but I've somehow missed this one all these years.

So I ask Mac, "Hey what is that?" and he says it's a 1980 Aston Martin Lagonda. (Google it to see some pics.) So I tell him, "We have to do that car," and Mac says, "We actually did a version of it." It's castig #908 and was only released twice, once with an Evel Knievel set and once with another JL set. The designer took a few liberties with it adding side pipes, a spoiler, some hood details and a slightly different grill. So Mac and I get to talking about how we could modify the tool to make it look more stock.

So what do you guys think? Do you dig this car as much as we do? If you do, bring it up on the JL message board. We'll be lurking for your responses.
